In July, Mesahat discussed the issue of leadership on its social media pages. What are leadership skills? What are the different treats and characteristics a LGBT leader or/and activist can have to help him/her with their human rights work. Also discussed the different kinds of means and tactics LGBT activists can do in order to make the LGBT community better.
Mesahat launched a media campaign titled "Queer Migration" on the 20th of June 2017, the World Refugee Day, where shared and published different stories about the asylum and migration of LGBT community members, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people around the world and domestically, who often forced to escape discrimination or hostile treatment due to their sexuality.
Mesahat foundation has held a workshop under the title "Digital Security for sexual and gender minorities in Egypt" to educate participants the newest information and tools of digital security and how to protect themselves and their devices from hacking and/or tracking.
The workshop focused on different ways and methods of digital security plus offering a variety of programs to help participants protect their devices.
The workshop lasted for 3 days, 9 hours each day, 10 participants attended including LGBTQ activists, who will be spreading the digital security knowledge among LGBT+ community in Egypt.
The Egyptian and the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia (IDAHOT)

As part of its celebration of the Egyptian and the International Day against Homophobia and Transphobia, Bedayaa Organization for LGBTQI in Nile Valley Area (Egypt & Sudan) in collaboration with Mesahat Foundation for Sexual & Gender Diversity and Trans Homos DZlaunched “My Family My Choice” regional campaign from North Africa on May 2017 .
The camping contained many activities such as online media campaigns and events in Sudan (Khartoum), Algeria (Algeria), and Egypt; in both Cairo and Alexandria.
The campaign focused on the concept of “Queer Alternative Families” and the support and solidarity that we gain from our queer families, through open discussions in the presence of LGBTQ community members and their allies. Moreover, filming and screening of short documentaries about queer families’ life in Egypt and the struggle of LGBTQ persons in Sudan.
Mesahat Foundation launches its security campaign "Our Safety" as part of its work to raise awareness of the importance of the use of Digital Security Tools for members of the Queer community and LGBT activists working in the Nile Valley (Egypt and Sudan).
In the framework of Trans Awareness Month, "Mesahat Foundation for Sexual and Gender Diversity" in cooperation with "Bedayaa Organization for LGBTQI in the Nile Valley Area (Egypt and Sudan)" and "Rainbow Egypt Organization” together launch their first event in a series of different events through this month starting with "One Day... One Struggle Campaign for Sexual and Bodily Rights in Muslim Societies" under the slogan "My Gender... My Right” on Wednesday, November 9th, 2016, and lunching videos on "Transgender Day of Remembrance Nov 20th 2016" TDOR and through blogging, writing, and tweeting under the hashtag #MyGender_MyRight to support Transgender/ Transsexual Rights.
